The first episode of Women of Wrestling (WOW) on September 18 was watched by 281,000 viewers in syndication via CBS Media Ventures across the U.S. It was watched by 44,000 aged 18 to 49, or a 0.03 P18-49 ratingThe second episode, on September 25 was watched by 273,000 viewers. In P18-49, it had 79,000 viewers, or a 0.06 rating.Although WOW doesn’t have a common air time across markets, the show has coverage on broadcast networks throughout 100% of the U.S.
In terms of traditional TV viewers, this puts WOW above viewership for Impact Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV, although it’s important to note AXS TV only has coverage in about 39 million households, which is about half of cable homes.
WOW demonstrated a larger portion of female viewers than any nationally televised wrestling show. The male-female split in 18 to 49 for the first episode was 18,000 for M18-49 to 26,000 for F18-49, so a 59% female audience in the demo.
