AEW Collision, Aug 5 on TNT: 417,000 viewers; 0.13 P18-49 rating

AEW Collision, Saturday on TNT, was watched by 417,000 viewers on average, including 164,000 aged 18 to 49, for a 0.13 P18-49 rating.

The show went head-to-head for the first time with a WWE PLE, Summerslam, streaming at the same time live on Peacock.

Collision ranked #16 in P18-49 among all cable programs for Saturday. UFC Fight Night on ESPN was #1 with a 0.38 P18-49 rating and 1,035,000 viewers. Collision was also outranked by the MLB game in the evening on FS1 (0.14), and the Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony on ESPN at noon (0.13), as well as reruns of Friends on Nick at Nite and an episode of Seinfeld on Comedy Central.

This is the lowest viewership for Collision among the now eight episodes in the show’s history. Total viewership and P18-49 were lower than the previous low on July 1, when the show averaged 452,000 viewers total. P18-49 viewership for the July 1 episode was 172,000, slightly higher than this episode’s 164,000. The P18-49 rating for both this episode and July 1 comes out to 0.13.

This is the first of what may be a monthly occurrence where Collision will air at the same time as a WWE PLE on Peacock. Money in the Bank last month aired in the afternoon on a Saturday due to taking place in the UK, avoiding direct competition.

This week’s Collision was down 44% compared to last week’s total viewership of 739,000. Among viewers 18 to 49, viewership was down 54% from last week’s 0.27 rating.
