TV ratings: WWE Smackdown and AEW Rampage for August 19

WWE Smackdown, Friday on Fox, was watched by 2,084,000 viewers on average, including about 613,000 aged 18 to 49, for a 0.47 P18-49 rating.

Smackdown was preempted in some markets for NFL preseason games, like last week, but not as extensively. Markets including Charlotte, New Orleans, San Diego, and St. Louis were preempted this week. Smackdown aired later or on a sister broadcast network in affected markets.

AEW Rampage on TNT at 10 pm, was watched by 461,000 viewers on average, including about 157,000 aged 18 to 49, for a 0.12 P18-49 rating.

Compared to last week, Smackdown was up 8% in total viewership. Among viewers 18-49, viewership was up 6%.

Compared to last week, Rampage was down 13% in total viewership. Among viewers 18 to 49, viewership was down 29% from last week’s 221,000.

Smackdown ranked #1 on television overall on the day in P18-49.

Rampage ranked #14 in P18-49 among cable originals for the day, according to Showbuzz Daily. Including broadcast primetime, it ranked #28.

For Smackdown, P18-34 was down 14% compared to the prior four weeks. P18-49 was down 7%. P35-49 was down 4%. P2+ was down 3%.

For Rampage, P35-49 was down 31% compared to the prior four weeks. M18-49 was down 26%. M12-34 was up 26%. P18-49 was down 23%.
