TV ratings: WWE Smackdown and AEW Rampage and Battle of the Belts, January 6

WWE Smackdown, Friday on Fox, was watched by 2,257,000 viewers on average, including about 691,000 aged 18 to 49, for a 0.53 P18-49 rating.

AEW Rampage on TNT at 8 pm, was watched by 551,000 viewers on average, including about 196,000 aged 18 to 49, for a 0.15 P18-49 rating.

AEW Battle of the Belts, following Rampage, averaged 409,000 viewers and a 0.11 P18-49 rating. That’s higher than the last Battle of the Belts special on October 7, which had 317,000 viewers and a 0.10 P18-49 rating, also following Rampage. Previous specials on Saturday nights at 8 pm had more viewers, with the most recent Saturday telecast averaging 437,000 viewers and a 0.12 demo rating.

Smackdown ranked #3 for the day in P18-49 on Friday, behind Fire Country on CBS and Shark Tank on ABC, according to Showbuzz Daily.

Rampage ranked #30 among cable originals and #44 when including broadcast primetime.

Compared to last week, Smackdown was down 14% in total viewership. Among viewers 18 to 49, viewership was down 18% from last week’s 842,000.

Compared to last week, Rampage was up 17% in total viewership. Among viewers 18-49, viewership was up 27%.

For Smackdown, P18-34 was down 8% compared to the prior four weeks. P35-49 was down 7%. P18-49 was down 5%. P2+ was down 4%.

For Rampage, P18-34 was up 52% compared to the prior four weeks. P2+ was up 18%. Non-P18-49 was up 14%. M18-49 was up 13%.
