Smackdown was #3 on cable for the night on P18-49. The Alabama vs. Oklahoma college football playoff game aired on ESPN and ABC. The pre-game show on ESPN was the #2 cable telecast for the night. The game had 7.1 million viewers on ESPN and another 7.7 million on ABC, for a total of 14.8 million viewers, not counting the additional telecast on ESPN2.

Beginning from September 26, 2025 and forward, TV ratings data is measured with the new “Big Data + Panel” methodology. Data before that date was measured with the “panel-only” methodology. This change makes it difficult to compare data from the two different ways of measuring television viewership.
