TV ratings: Impact and New Japan for September 8

Impact Wrestling last night on AXS TV, was watched by 60,000 viewers on average, including about 13,000 aged 18 to 49, for a 0.01 P18-49 rating.

New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV at 10 pm, was watched by 46,000 viewers on average, including about 8,000 aged 18 to 49, for a 0.01 P18-49 rating.

Both programs were opposed by the first NFL regular season game, between the Bills and Rams, airing on NBC. Showbuzzdaily hasnโ€™t reported broadcast ratings yet for Thursday.

This was Impact’s lowest total viewership since November 25, 2021 and its lowest P18-49 viewership since December 30, 2021.

This was New Japan’s lowest total viewership since July 28.

Compared to last week, Impact was down 42% in total viewership. Among viewers 18 to 49, viewership was down 55% from last week’s 29,000.

Compared to last week, New Japan was down 19% in total viewership. Among viewers 18 to 49, viewership was down 20% from last week’s 10,000.

Neither Impact nor New Japan ranked in the top 150 cable originals, according to Showbuzz Daily.

CNN Special Coverage on CNN (0.28) ranked #1 on cable for Thursday.
