Linda McMahon, former CEO of WWE and a key figure in the wrestling company’s history, was one of the biggest financial supporters of Donald Trump’s presidential campaigns in each of 2016, 2020, and 2024.
In 2024 alone, McMahon contributed $10 million to the Make America Great Again Inc. political action committee, not to mention other political action committees associated with Trump and other Republican candidates.
After helping Trump get elected in 2016, McMahon joined his cabinet as the head of the Small Business Administration, serving from 2017 until early 2019. After leaving that role, she continue to be a prominent figure in Trump’s political and business activities. As chair of the pro-Trump America First Action super PAC, McMahon has played a major role in driving financial support for his campaigns. She’s also a key leader of the American First Policy Institute, a think tank devoted to advance Trump’s policies.
Beyond politics, McMahon has joined Trump’s business ventures. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Truth Social, Trump’s social media platform.
She currently co-chairs the President-elect’s 2025 White House transition team along with Howard Lutnick.
McMahon left her position as a lead executive at WWE in 2009 to go onto run twice for U.S. Senate in Connecticut, unsuccessfully.
