Deposition dates set in the shareholder lawsuit against Vince McMahon and board members aligned with him
According to court filings, many depositions have been scheduled in the shareholder lawsuit against Vince McMahon, Nick Khan, Paul Levesque, George Barrios, and Michelle Wilson. The class action suit has been ongoing since 2023.
WWE and TKO themselves are not defendants in the case; only the then-board members mentioned above are. The plaintiffs allege McMahon was determined to make a deal with Endeavor’s Ari Emanuel because, they theorize, it was the only way McMahon would stay with the company post-M&A. Following the sexual misconduct scandal that began unfolding in public in 2022, no other deal would keep McMahon on, the plaintiffs say. Of course, McMahon ended up resigning from TKO anyway in January 2024, soon after Janel Grant filed her lawsuit against him and WWE.
Depositions of these individuals won’t automatically become part of the public record, but excerpts might become part of future filings. Portions of depositions might also end up being sealed.
